Meet Dr. David

Education

Dr. David Rad grew up outside Boston in Wellesley, Massachusetts. He completed his undergraduate education at Boston University, where he graduated with honors in economics. Next he attended Boston University School of Dental Medicine, where he completed his Doctorate of Dental Medicine, magna cum laude.

Dr. Rad was granted membership in the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society for excellence in academic achievement. He also received the Certificate of Excellence from the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology for his outstanding academic achievements in the field of Oral Pathology.

Dr. Rad proceeded to earn a Master of Science degree and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate study at Boston University Dental School, in the fields of both orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. He also served as chief resident during his clinical residency.

He has also done extensive research in bone biology and metabolism during his post-graduate education.

Continuing education

Dr. Rad practiced general dentistry and orthodontics in a private practice in Wellesley before moving to the Maryland and Virginia area. He advocates the use of the latest techniques and technologies in orthodontics and incorporates them at Rad² Orthodontics in order to provide the most efficient, highest-quality treatment possible.

Outside the practice

In his free time Dr. Rad enjoys soccer, tennis, squash, running, and pretty much any activity that involves the beach and ocean.
